Fall Blog Hop with Creative Memories ThankFULL Theme Pack

I wanted to share our Theme Packs NEW to CM!. 
Inspired by family traditions with delicious dinners around turkey and all the fixings and feeling grateful for friends while sneaking a second piece of pie, this Thanksgiving scrapbook kit includes four designer papers with patterns like wishbones, angled stripes, doily dots and a patchwork with pumpkins, a recipe card, pie and sayings that suit the season. It also includes two sheets of stickers with icons to fill your plate and your pages with pumpkins and pie, hearts and scrumptious sides and a turkey, along with words, titles and complementing border stickers. Complete with one sheet of Ivory Cardstock, this Thanksgiving paper serves up spreads of harvest fun like days at the pumpkin patch, raking leaves in the yard, Friendsgiving, and of course, Thanksgiving.

So perfect for the "Giving" Season.  For the past ten years we have been going camping with 3 other families for Thanksgiving or as we have always called it our friendsgiving. Who knew that word would catch on in the scrapbooking world? This year we were camping at Patagonia Lake State park. Each family contributes to food.  I always make a crockpot ham. As you can see by the photos that it's such a hit, we normally go back for second.

MY LAYOUT

For this project you will need the following items; you can find on my website https://www.creativememories.com/user/CandaceBouldin:
-ThankFULL Theme Pack
-12-inch Trimmer (If you haven't tried this, it's a MUST for your scrapbooking! Cuts so sweet!)
-Wave Blade for 12-inch trimmer
-Lace Trim Border Punch
-Creative Memories Tape Runner (Your photos will thank you for using it in years to come!)
-Percision Point Adhesive pen
-Black Dual-Tip Pen
-Foam Squares

Step 1: Cut the blue wish bone and the green paper at 6" each.
You'll take the Blue Wish bone papers to outside of pages, the green pages you put in inside of pages
Step 2: Taking the powder blue page with strips on it and then using the Lace Trim border punch cut out two borders. Use your 12-inch trimmer to cut to size. You will need your Percision Point Adhesive pen to attach these to the outer edge of page one and two.
Step 3: Using the wave blade on the 12-inch trimmer make one pass with cutting the cream cardstock. Then flip your paper over so the bottom of your 12" paper in now at the top. Then line up the wave part of your paper with the second line on the rubber cutting mat.

This will allow you to get a perfectly symmetric cut.  Did you notice when you flipping the paper it give it an "hour-glass" love verses a wave. Using Percision Point Adhesive pen run a line of glue on this border and attach to straight edge, inside, of Lace Trim border.
Step 4: Using our scissors, fussy cut around the shade of the the following stickers from the sticker sheets. The Blue heart at bottom of Blue Pumpkin mat as well as the word Thanksgiving.  You don''t have to fussy cut them but I love how it added a chunky look to them, more then just putting the sticker on page.  I also fussy cut a little around the large plated turkey at bottom right of second page so the bowl would show more.
Step 4: Using cream paper mat all your photos.  The vertical photo (photo is 3.5 x 5) use wish bone paper to mat that photo.
Step 5: On the back side of green paper you'll find some really great wording to use for titles, journal boxes, and recipe cards. These were used to create the little box at bottom left of page one that reads For the bounty of the years.  After cutting this out use the black Dual-Tip Pen to add dashes around edge. The tan journal box at lower left with wish bone is on that same page and I cut out the word dinner is served and used tape runner to attach it to tan wishbone paper. Cut out the word "Treasured Traditions then mat it with the powder blue paper with stripes on it. Same with the blue 4x6 box with white, cream and blue pumpkin the mat with the extra photo box with recipe stripes.
Step 5: Using tape runner and foam squares, used on Friedsgiving, turkey, friends, plate up, turkey plate and more please; assemble page as shown.
The green behind the pumpkins, lower left was one of the leaves from the sticker sheet cut in half. The banners at top, attach the heart stickers to top of flag banner and the colorful confeti is long banner cut with scissors to desired length.
I got a new Canyon Selphy and it didn't print my photos as 4x6 as I desired. Maybe a learning curve on my part or the fact that these were all selfie photos so the photos turned out to be the following sizes. The group photo selfie is 4x5.5 matted, table photo is 4x6 matted and the vertical photo (photo is 3.5 x 5) use wish bone paper to mat that photo.




I hope find this inspiring to buy this kit; it really is fun and packed with so much.  I could even get another layout with all the pieces left over.

Summer blog hop with Creative Memories advisor Candace Bouldin with Citrus Summer collection

Add a star sticker for extra pop

Summer is in full swing and what a better collection to capture your fun events! On the beach, picnics, Memorial, Labor day, or 4th of July; this collection goes with so much. The colors are so vibrant and capture Summer.

What you'll need:
-Citrus Summer paper pack, variety mat pack & stickers.

-Basket Weave Punch, a free standing punch
-New design 12" trimmer It's a GAME Changer!
-Scissors
-Aqua cardstock
-Precision Point adhesive pen
-Creative Memories tape runner
-Foam Squares


Using the NEW 12" trimmer and cut the Yellow Chevron paper at 7 3/8" and cut the blue wave paper 7 1/4"  adhere them to page like photoed above.  Trim 3/4" off the bottom of the paper with the beach umbrella with trimmer. This will go on right side under where the word "heck yes!" is. Using the Citrus Summer sticker border sheet, place the blue stripes with "ripple" on top of where the yellow and wave paper come together. Make sure they line up to seem to run seamless through two page spread.

Using  scissors cut the wave part off, like pictured and attach to bottom of left page.

Cut a border using the Basket Weave with the Multi color checkered patterned paper and another with the Aqua paper.  Using your scissors trim the Aqua paper border like pictured left. You should have 2 stripes that look like diamonds and the rectangles from the center.  I could see the "diamonds" on a wedding or engagement page too? 

Using Precision Point adhesive pen, attach the "diamonds" border to back of Multi color border.  Cut at 3/4", 6 15/16" and the remainder of the border will go to right page.

From the Variety Mat pack use the blue 4x6 and the Beach Bound 4.5x6.5 and layer. Place the 3/4" piece at left side, then place variety mat down and 6 15/16" on other side of mat. Making border seem like one piece. 

Use the sticker sheet and stack words and make them pop off your page with foam squares.
Embellish page with stickers because it makes it more fun!

My son drawing a heart around the words "I love me family" touched my heart.
This was the biggest cabbage head jelly fish I've ever saw.
Don't forget to journal to tell your story!

Winter blog hop with Creative Memories product Imagine That! The Skies the Limit

Welcome to blog stop six of our Winter Blog Hop.

With the winter being cold, I'm imagining the soaring over the skies seeing the world. Summers by the Sea; and Making Memories.

My customers have looked at the new Imagine That! Collection but tell me all the time "Candace, I can't use that collection. I don't have boys. I don't go to Disney. So I have no use for a castle." So I challenged myself of how you could use the embellishments differently? I saw a sand castle and the background as rocket ships or roof tops. I used them as rockets soaring over the clouds with Super Mom saving the day. You could even use these for a sky scraper, trim off the top and there you have sky scrappers.

Imagine That! Collection

Border #1 Super Mom

Step 1. Cut a border out with the Scallop Decorative Border punch with the blue Chevron patterned paper as the base. Using straight trimmer, trim paper at 1.5"
Step 2. Using the cloud paper and the smaller wave on the Double Waves Tearing Tool. Place tool on paper at 1" from top and tear.
Step 3. Using black polka dotted paper trim with straight trimmer at 1/4”
Step 4. Using Shooting be Stars punch stars from gold paper with "X's" on them.
(Note I found out stars on firework embellishments is the same size. So if you need more stars on your page. This punch is perfect match.)
Step 4. Take the "castle" embellishments and carefully pull the blue layer off black layer. This is your rocket ship. Adhere the superhero and add one of the rhinestone to the chest. I use the diamond one to make it pop. I also use the moon rhinestone for the opposite side.

Border #2 Smile

Step 1. Using the stripe paper and the smaller wave on the Double Waves Tearing Tool. Place tool on paper at 1"
Step 2. Trim with the blue Chevron paper 1/8"
Step 3. Trim the black polka dotted paper trim paper at 1/2"
Step 4. Trim camera print paper 1 1/4"
Step 5. In the variety mat pack there is a card with a camera on it and it says "Making Memories". Using your Creative Memories scissors cut out the camera and the words "Making Memories". Adhere them to the black polka dotted strip. Use a pop-up to pop up the camera. Embellish border with the jewels from the Imagine That! layered embellishments.

Border 3 Let's go to the Beach

Step 1. Tear the gold paper with the smaller wave on the Double Waves Tearing Tool at 1" from top and tear.
Step 2. Tear the blue Chevron paper with the larger wave on the Double Waves Tearing Tool at 1" from top and tear.
Step 3. Using straight trimmer, trim the black polka dotted paper at 3/16"
Step 4. Layer as shown in example.
Step 5. Adhere pop-up dots to the back of the blue Castle to make it stand out.
Step 6. Add pendant flag and gemstones from the Laird embellishment pack to complete the Border.
