Fall Blog Hop with Creative Memories ThankFULL Theme Pack

I wanted to share our Theme Packs NEW to CM!. 
Inspired by family traditions with delicious dinners around turkey and all the fixings and feeling grateful for friends while sneaking a second piece of pie, this Thanksgiving scrapbook kit includes four designer papers with patterns like wishbones, angled stripes, doily dots and a patchwork with pumpkins, a recipe card, pie and sayings that suit the season. It also includes two sheets of stickers with icons to fill your plate and your pages with pumpkins and pie, hearts and scrumptious sides and a turkey, along with words, titles and complementing border stickers. Complete with one sheet of Ivory Cardstock, this Thanksgiving paper serves up spreads of harvest fun like days at the pumpkin patch, raking leaves in the yard, Friendsgiving, and of course, Thanksgiving.

So perfect for the "Giving" Season.  For the past ten years we have been going camping with 3 other families for Thanksgiving or as we have always called it our friendsgiving. Who knew that word would catch on in the scrapbooking world? This year we were camping at Patagonia Lake State park. Each family contributes to food.  I always make a crockpot ham. As you can see by the photos that it's such a hit, we normally go back for second.

MY LAYOUT

For this project you will need the following items; you can find on my website https://www.creativememories.com/user/CandaceBouldin:
-ThankFULL Theme Pack
-12-inch Trimmer (If you haven't tried this, it's a MUST for your scrapbooking! Cuts so sweet!)
-Wave Blade for 12-inch trimmer
-Lace Trim Border Punch
-Creative Memories Tape Runner (Your photos will thank you for using it in years to come!)
-Percision Point Adhesive pen
-Black Dual-Tip Pen
-Foam Squares

Step 1: Cut the blue wish bone and the green paper at 6" each.
You'll take the Blue Wish bone papers to outside of pages, the green pages you put in inside of pages
Step 2: Taking the powder blue page with strips on it and then using the Lace Trim border punch cut out two borders. Use your 12-inch trimmer to cut to size. You will need your Percision Point Adhesive pen to attach these to the outer edge of page one and two.
Step 3: Using the wave blade on the 12-inch trimmer make one pass with cutting the cream cardstock. Then flip your paper over so the bottom of your 12" paper in now at the top. Then line up the wave part of your paper with the second line on the rubber cutting mat.

This will allow you to get a perfectly symmetric cut.  Did you notice when you flipping the paper it give it an "hour-glass" love verses a wave. Using Percision Point Adhesive pen run a line of glue on this border and attach to straight edge, inside, of Lace Trim border.
Step 4: Using our scissors, fussy cut around the shade of the the following stickers from the sticker sheets. The Blue heart at bottom of Blue Pumpkin mat as well as the word Thanksgiving.  You don''t have to fussy cut them but I love how it added a chunky look to them, more then just putting the sticker on page.  I also fussy cut a little around the large plated turkey at bottom right of second page so the bowl would show more.
Step 4: Using cream paper mat all your photos.  The vertical photo (photo is 3.5 x 5) use wish bone paper to mat that photo.
Step 5: On the back side of green paper you'll find some really great wording to use for titles, journal boxes, and recipe cards. These were used to create the little box at bottom left of page one that reads For the bounty of the years.  After cutting this out use the black Dual-Tip Pen to add dashes around edge. The tan journal box at lower left with wish bone is on that same page and I cut out the word dinner is served and used tape runner to attach it to tan wishbone paper. Cut out the word "Treasured Traditions then mat it with the powder blue paper with stripes on it. Same with the blue 4x6 box with white, cream and blue pumpkin the mat with the extra photo box with recipe stripes.
Step 5: Using tape runner and foam squares, used on Friedsgiving, turkey, friends, plate up, turkey plate and more please; assemble page as shown.
The green behind the pumpkins, lower left was one of the leaves from the sticker sheet cut in half. The banners at top, attach the heart stickers to top of flag banner and the colorful confeti is long banner cut with scissors to desired length.
I got a new Canyon Selphy and it didn't print my photos as 4x6 as I desired. Maybe a learning curve on my part or the fact that these were all selfie photos so the photos turned out to be the following sizes. The group photo selfie is 4x5.5 matted, table photo is 4x6 matted and the vertical photo (photo is 3.5 x 5) use wish bone paper to mat that photo.




I hope find this inspiring to buy this kit; it really is fun and packed with so much.  I could even get another layout with all the pieces left over.

Creative Memories Woodland Whimsy Collection for Everyday use not just for Babies!

Today I shared how the Woodland Whimsy collection isn't just for babies!!

This layout was our trip to Yellowstone and we stopped at the Chocolate Mud pots. The kids just loved it and thought they were so cool. I wanted to keep layout simple with no cutting of photos to encourage you to be able to recreate. The base of the layout was one sheet of the same pattern paper. I trimmed the paper at 7/8" on three sides of paper and then flipped middle over. The two bottom photos are matted with the Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy Variety Mat Pack. Along with the "so stinkin cute" card you will find in that pack as well. The cute little skunk at bottom left is from the Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy Variety Mat Pack too.  I trimmed it with personal trimmer and then used our new 4-way corner rounder on the corners. The pink under the "so stinkin' cute" I cut a strip 4.5" x 10.5" and used the Scallop Dot Border Maker Cartridge for the border at top left. The word Darling, Handsome, the heart lower right, the arrow at mid left, and the 3 epoxy dots are from the Woodland Whimsy Baby Embellishments.The Chevron border at top right was made using the Chevron Border Maker Cartridge. The bottom border that looks like mini tents was the diamond shaped border in the Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy sticker pack, I used scissors and cut it in 1/2. The "My Handsome Boy" I took the word My Boy from Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy sticker pack and cut it in 1/2 and layered behind the word Handsome.

Anyone need a Limo?

Your Limousine awaits you!!

Do you have Prom photos?  Wedding photos? Bachelorette party photos?
This would be a fun embellishment to add to your page!

I used the same concept as the bus using the Creative Memories Border Maker System along with the  Film Strip Border Maker Cartridge to make this border.  You can find it for sale on my website http://www.creativememories.com/user/CandaceBouldin

Use punch and cut out a complete filmstrip, you'll use as later as a guide/template. If your doing a white limo like pictured I'd cut out a black to be able to see to line up and vice versa.

I used a 5" white paper to be able to have it stay in place with magnetic strip, skip the first punch notch and then only punch three times (total of 6 squares) Take the paper out and cut a 1" space out. This allows for you to be able to slide paper up to punch out 1 "window" on the limo. Take the black prior cut out strip and place it on blue flip out area.  Then take cut out 3 punched white paper and line it up to only cut out 1 window and secure with magnetic strip. Flip down to cut out. 

You should have a strip that looks like this. I used scissors to cut middle bracket off in middle two windows.  I then used scissors to cut ends off the area to make trunk and hood .  I used CM 1'' circle punch to make the wheels on the limo, you'll need to cut out two circles for the wheels. For the inner part of the wheel I used Bubbles Border maker cartridge to punch out circles as the 1/4" CM punch was to big for the look.  I also used the Bubble Maker cartridge to make the red lights and headlight. The tail light and headlight I cut the bubble in half to achieve the look.  I then cut out 1 strips of black paper equal in size to make the line/trim on the limo.  I took a sliver piece of paper and punched out once with filmstrip cartridge to use to pieces make door handles and trim on windows. Mat a black paper behind limo and then to front window I used a panel from black guide and round it to look like a windshield.

Ok I have to confess if you haven't noticed by my blog that I'm obsessed with this punch!!

How cute would these be for a new home page with picket fence or a farm fence, rodeo pen cage.  Oh the possibilities are endless. Love the "spooky" fence for a Halloween page.

To make fences like this you cut out two filmstrip.  On one strip cut off the top of film strip leaving the vertical brackets, I used scissors to do this, when I used trimmer it was never even.  Then you place that layer on the middle of the other filmstrip border with brackets of the frame sticking up.

For "Spooky" fence (you could title whatever you'd like, I only had the word Spooky already cut but a title like Trick or Treating would be fun!

I cut a black piece of paper 2 5/8" then I punched both side with the filmstrip punch. 

Then I cut out 2 more filmstrips and cut like directions above to layer in center of bracket area.
For the point look I didn't trim paper true to filmstrip I made cut 1/2" and took scissors and cut in on angle to make point.

Back to School Time!

It's Back to School time and that means time for you to scrapbook your child's first day of school?
Would this not be the cutest back to school border?
My teen daughter agrees this is the cutest border ever. That's a BIG compliment to me from her!

I used Creative Memories Border Maker System with the  Film Strip Border Maker Cartridge to make this border.  Have I not said how in LOVE I am with the system??  You can find it for sale on my website http://www.creativememories.com/user/CandaceBouldin

I used a 5" yellow paper to be able to have it stay in place with magnetic strip, run punch along the system and only punch five times (total of 8 squares) Take the paper out and cut a 1" space out 2" below the already cut out punch (See Photo - Left) This allows for you to be able to slide paper up to punch out the last 3 "windows" on the bus. 

Photo left shows how I used another punched out strip to line the paper up to only cut 3 of the 4 windows out. If you put paper to bottom you won't have the blank space to create the cab of the bus.

Above shows how I cut out a square 3/4'' x 3/4" with scissors.  Then I used my Corner Rounder to round the edges, it will be a little tricky to get it in there but you don't want to put it all the way in otherwise your corner will be to rounded. I then cut out 2 strips of black paper equal in size to make the lines/stripes on the bus. Make sure you line the strips up with last "window pane" punch to make the front end of the bus and allow for tire.  I used CM 1'' circle punch to make the wheels on the bus, you'll need to cut out two circles for the wheels. For the inner part of the wheel I used Bubbles Border maker cartridge to punch out circles as the 1/4" CM punch was to big for the look.  I also used the Bubble Maker cartridge to make the red lights and headlight. The tail light and headlight I cut the bubble in half to achieve the look.
