Snorkeling in the Key's FL scrapbook layout featured on Creative Life Scrapbooking using Creative Memories Product

Today my layout was featured on Creative Life Scrapbooking for their #BorderMakerMonday.

"Today be prepared to be spoiled with not just one border but THREE borders in one layout. I wanted to create a nautical feel from our vacation to the Florida Keys snorkeling trip but the Creative Memories Cool Serenity looked to tropical to me. So I use the Denim Blues Paper Pack for the base of this layout. The simplest border adorns the top of the page using the Cool Serenity Embellishment Stickers.

The border to the left of page was created using the Circle Weave Border Maker Cartridge as the base, they looked like bubbles in water. The squares are made using one of the slide in cards from Cool Serenity. Cut into squares and matted with Cloud cardstock and dark blue from Denim Blues Paper Pack.

The bottom of the border is my favorite!! The Sand paper is from former CM, I hope they bring this paper back, I love it!! The paper was torn by hand to give it dimension. The Coral was made using the new Leaf Trio punch and former CM coral paper. There is a coral pink in Hello Baby Girl Paper Pack that you could use to make work? The Starfish is from the same Slide In card that was used to create the squares, it was cut out by hand with scissors as were the sand dollar and seashell. They were on a different Slide in Card from Cool Serenity. I used pop-dots to give it a raised feel.

Creative Memories Halloween Blog Hop Stop #5

Welcome to Spooky Stop #5 full of Monsters and more!

Are you ready for a couple treats?

Little Monsters will be out and about looking in windows and doors for a treat. 

Keep an eye out for them they are everywhere!

To create this border you'll need:
-Original Border Maker System
-Circle Weave Border Maker cartridge
-Bubbles Border Maker cartridge
-Scissors
-Black Cardstock for base
-Shade of Green
-Orange and Purple Cardstock

Using the Circle Weave Border Maker punch cut out borders; one in black, orange, purple, and green cardstock. Use the black border as your base; with scissors cut out circles from the green, orange and purple colors and layer on top of black strip, as shown in photo. Use the Bubbles Border Maker Cartridge to make eyes.  So easy but so cute! The gray and purple paper bordering border is from the Fall In paper pack in Going Gone area. 

Just when you thought it safe to come out,  now that the monsters are gone, here comes the bats and skeletons. 

To create this border you'll need:

-Original Border Maker System

-Circle Weave Border Maker Cartridge
-Filmstrip Border Maker Cartridge
-Grass Border Maker Cartridge

-Lace Scallop Border Maker Cartridge

-Midnight Star Border Maker Cartridge

-Shape Maker System
-Bubble word punch, no longer available to order 
-Year to Remember paper and stickers

To make the bats you'll use the Midnight Star Border Maker Cartridge and Bubbles Border Maker Cartridge. Use a Bubble Border Maker Cartridge and scrap piece of black cardstock for the base of body.  Use a 12x12 Black cardstock and cut out a border with Midnight Star Border Maker Cartridge on black cardstock, this will be your base to the layout.  Back with yellow paper to bring out the stars. The stars from the 'negative" space were used to create ears for the bats and the "negative" space was used for wings. Cut out a yellow circle with the Shape Maker system and mount the bats on the circle.

To make the Skeleton you'll use the Circle Weave and Lace Scallop Border Maker Cartridges. Cut out one punch with Lace Scallop Border Maker Cartridge and use scissors to cut out "hips", see photos below.

The head was free hand cut out and eyes are from Bubbles Border Maker Cartridge. The bottom of the "jaw" and shoulders along with the legs are the Circle Weave Border Maker Cartridge. The "ribs" and feet are made with the Lace Scallop Border Maker Cartridge. Cut a thin strip to make the "spine".

The brown fence was made with Film Strip Border Maker Cartridge.  To see how to make it you can view this post Filmstrip Fences http://scrapinjpegs.blogspot.com/2015/08/filmstrip-fences.html There I also shared how to make a SPOOKY fence too!

The word October and numbers thirty and one, 31, is from the Year To Remember embellishments. The orange and white "banner" is from the Year To Remember paper pack.  Use Creative Memories black pen to create the stitching. The "clouds" were cut out with the word bubble punch on grey cardstock. This punch is no longer available through CM, it has sold out.

If you've ever heard this: "Mom (or Dad), I need four photos for an assignment tomorrow morning!" and said photos are IN YOUR ALBUMS you have a palpitation moment. Pull them up and potentially rip them or your pages?

Not with the new Repositionable adhesive! The special, photo-safe adhesive formula in this refill is tacky enough to hold your photos in place - and also allows you to easily remove items and/or reposition them. (And if you need to do so, it rubs off from the page without leaving a mark or residue!)

This special formula will get more tacky over time, but it does not ever become permanent, so you can be reassured that your photos can be removed as needed. BUT it is sticky enough to maintain adhesion, so as long as your page is covered with a Protector, you won't come back to a page where photos have slipped or pooled!
